Sharon Warner was born and raised in Orange County, Florida. She has been involved in developing, overseeing, and promoting youth, family, and community programs for over 30 years. In the early 2000's Sharon started the FFU Orlo Vista Youth Development Program which transformed her prior grassroots efforts to include a more community focused approach to meeting the needs of youth and families. Today many of the original youth from the program still serve the local community and are now a part of YFC United as board members, volunteers, and mentors to youth. As the youth program continued to grow, Sharon led the way and began promoting community events such as Family Day, Christmas in the Community, Thanksgiving in the Park, Spring Celebrations, and more events throughout the community. Later, she launched the Our Children Our Impact Conference, Community Conversations, and other impactful initiatives. As the director of YFC United, Sharon works to provide opportunities for youth to be involved in their community through service. Her love for families led to starting the Family TIME Club, promoting more family engagement events and other family focused programs. Currently, Sharon continues to develop special programs and projects to engage the community. She still has a hands-on approach as she personally mentors and provides positive youth development programming to over a hundred youth each week throughout Orange County. Sharon is also a guest speaker, presenter, and a volunteer member of several School Advisory Councils, PTAs, and other boards throughout the community.
We are shining a light on the "Good" as we recognize the positive things individuals and groups are doing that has an impact on society.
