Sharon Warner is a native of Orange County, Florida, where she has dedicated over 30 years to developing, overseeing, and promoting youth, family, and community programs. In the early 2000s, she founded the FFU Orlo Vista Youth Development Program, expanding her grassroots efforts to create a more community-focused approach to meeting the needs of local youth and families. Many of the original participants from the program continue to serve the community today as board members, volunteers, and mentors through YFC United.
As the youth program grew, Sharon spearheaded a variety of community events, including Family Day, Christmas in the Community, Thanksgiving in the Park, and Spring Celebrations. She also launched initiatives such as the Our Children Our Impact Conference and Community Conversations to foster deeper community engagement.
Serving as the director of YFC United, Sharon focuses on creating opportunities for youth to contribute to their communities through service. Her passion for supporting families led her to establish the Family TIME Club, which promotes family-centered events and programs.
Sharon remains deeply involved in her work, personally mentoring and providing positive youth development programming to over a hundred young people each week throughout Orange County. She also serves as a guest speaker, presenter, and active volunteer with several School Advisory Councils, PTAs, and other community boards.
We are shining a light on the "Good" as we recognize the positive things individuals and groups are doing that has an impact on society.
